The 2019 Marsanne is lively and refreshing, balanced with sumptuous stone fruit and aromatic spices. A spray of gardenia, freesia, and honeysuckle greets the nose, with a pop of brightness from fresh lemon. The bright florals and citrus are supported by rich notes of angel food cake, clover honey, hazelnut, and sandalwood. The palate opens with Meyer lemon curd, black plum, kumquat, and kaffir lime. Soft hints of coriander, cardamom, and Graham cracker lead to a silky, elegant finish. This wine is deliciously spritzy and refreshing now but will continue to develop rich and nutty flavors as it ages. Drink now through 2024.
