TASTING NOTES

The 2022 Marsanne is lively & refreshing with a touch of creaminess. Verdant aromas of lemongrass, kaffir lime, & lemon verbena burst from the glass, while sumptuous notes of honeydew melon, tropical kiwi, and nectarine intertwine seamlessly. The palate of this Marsanne is perfectly balanced. It is clean and refreshing, with elegant fruit, slight minerality, and just a touch of creaminess and salinity that tie everything together effortlessly. The palate opens with bright pops of candied lemon, dried mandarin, and fresh apricot, underscored by soft hints of white pepper, salted plum, and green tea. This wine is deliciously drinkable now but will continue to develop rich & nutty flavors as it ages. Drink now through 2026.

I had never heard of this type of wine prior to my tasting last month as well as a fair amount of the other wines on their list, but it certainly turned out to be one of my favorites! I usually don't like white wines, but this was so fresh and fruity and lacked the oakiness that usually turns me away from other whites. The excellent winemaking that went into this shines through and I just had to take a few bottles home.
