Host Assistant & Sales Support

Summary
Starfield Vineyards has openings for a part time Host Assistant & Sales Support. This position focuses on supporting and assisting all Outdoor Patio Servers and Winery Estate Hosts with performing essential daily duties and executing patio service responsibilities to ensure and facilitate great guest experiences. This is a multi-faceted position that requires initiative, high energy level, attention to detail, ability to multitask, pro-active thought processes, a go-getter attitude and most importantly, a team player. This position is responsible for assisting with all service needs, bussing tables, assistance with dishes, buffing glassware, restocking wine and merchandise, assisting with and tidying bathrooms, patio, and tasting room, clearing and resetting tables for new guests in a professional and effective manner.
Working weekends is a must. Candidates who cannot commit to 95% of Saturdays and Sundays should not apply. This is a part time position that will consist of 14 to 16+ hours per week, with a possibility of more hours on Thursdays and Fridays. Positions start at $15 per hour plus tips, overtime, and employee discount (if applicable). DOE
Responsibilities:
- This position’s focus is to assist all Outdoor Patio Servers and Winery Estate Hosts during food service on the outdoor patio. This requires the ability to walk and stand outside for 8 hours a shift.
- Assists all patio, tasting room and winery staff with executing guest’s needs by providing amazing winery experiences while focusing on building our wine sales, wine club memberships and customer base
- Assists with guest flow, seating guests, setting tables, clearing tables, sanitizing tables and chairs, disinfecting high-touch areas, stocking supplies and all other general duties to help elevate guest’s experiences
- Helps maintain cleanliness of facility, bathrooms, tasting room, lake pavilion, amphitheater, kitchen, dishes and glassware
- Assist and direct guests as needed
- Assists all staff with guests, wine orders, food orders, overall stocking and daily functions
- Assists with opening and closing daily for the Tasting Room and property
- Stocks merchandise and supplies as needed
- In order to be in compliance with current County, State, and A.B.C. regulations, all staff must follow mandates regarding masks, gloves, personal hygiene, etc.

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age. Anyone under the age of 21 is not permitted to pour or handle open containers.
- One year of retail, restaurant, event, golf course and/or hotel/private club experience preferred. Will train the right candidate.
- Must work weekends
- Must be able to work on outdoor patio for 8 hours a shift, walking and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds, utilize a dolly cart, and assist in moving heavy objects.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to take direction from supervisors and execute tasks as outlined
- Knowledge of the local area is a plus
