Due to the cooler temperatures and unique soil composition, the 2013 Jacks are Wild is always bright and highly aromatic. This small block vineyard is one of our favorites and continues to impress us as it matures over time. Striking aromas of raspberries, butterscotch, and fig play first fiddle on the nose. Well-structured and possessing beautiful tension, the tannins are woven seamlessly into the network of cranberry, black cherry, and Baker’s chocolate flavors. This is easily a wine that will benefit from time in the cellar.
