Just minutes off Highway 50, Starfield Vineyards is an Apple Hill® winery and an easy stop on your way to Tahoe or back to Sacramento. We’re 5 minutes outside Placerville, 45 minutes east of Sacramento, and about an hour west of South Lake Tahoe. Our 67-acre hilltop estate sits at 2,400 feet in the El Dorado AVA, with sweeping Sierra Foothills views.
Break up your drive with a glass or a bottle on the patio. Our winemaking focuses on Mediterranean varieties from the Rhône, Italy, and Spain, and our hosted tastings run daily from 11 AM to 5 PM. Whether you’re new to wine or a seasoned collector, there’s something to pour for you.
Hungry? The Pizza Kitchen at Starfield serves Roman-style Pizza alla Pala all day, every day we’re open. It’s a light, crispy, long-fermented crust made to pair with our wines. Eat on the patio or grab a box to go and head to the Amphitheater. See the menu →
