With twenty-five years of roots music behind them and a sound that’s driven, danceable, and deeply alive, Hot Buttered Rum is exactly the kind of band that belongs on a vineyard stage under the stars.

About Hot Buttered Rum
Hot Buttered Rum gets its hands dirty planting songs with roots in Appalachia and branches in California. Five-string banjo and five-alarm fiddle dovetail with doghouse bass to frame the voices of the sextet’s two busy songwriters. Twenty-five years in, with fresh mud under its fingernails, their driven, danceable music continues to find its way into the hearts of fans nationwide. The Starfield Vineyards Summer Concert Series
Kick back and enjoy the evening under the lights as part of our annual Summer Music Series. We are so excited to share this night with you. Come ready for dancing, great company, and delicious wine and beer — all set against the stunning backdrop of our outdoor amphitheater, with rolling vineyard views and warm summer air filling the valley. There is something genuinely special about pairing live bluegrass and Americana with a glass of estate wine in the California foothills.
Gates open at 5:30 PM, live music runs from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, and the venue closes at 10:00 PM. That gives you a full hour to arrive, settle in, and explore the wine bar before the first note — and a relaxed half hour after the show to wrap up your evening. Whether you’re making it a date night, a group outing, or a solo treat, this is the kind of evening that reminds you why the California foothills are so special. Bring a blanket or low-back chairs, pack a picnic, and make yourself at home.

- 🚫 Outside alcohol beverages are not permitted

- 🎟️ Official tickets must be purchased through Starfield Vineyards only. Tickets purchased through Facebook, third-party resellers, StubHub, or any unauthorized source will not be honored at the gate.
Cancellation Policy
Ticket fees are non-refundable for cancellations made less than 10 days before the event, no-shows, or reductions in guest count.

Starfield Vineyards sits in the heart of El Dorado County’s wine country, just minutes from downtown Placerville and approximately 45 minutes east of Sacramento via Highway 50. Hot Buttered Rum has built a devoted following across California over twenty-five years of touring — and bringing them to our vineyard stage feels like a natural homecoming for a band whose sound is as rooted in the California landscape as the vines around our amphitheater. If you’re a longtime fan or discovering them for the first time, this is a night not to miss.
We recommend arriving early to claim your spot on the lawn — seating is open and first come, first served. Gates open at 5:30 PM, giving you a full hour to explore the wine bar and sample our current releases before the music kicks off at 6:30 PM. The show runs until 9:30 PM, with the venue closing at 10:00 PM.
